Michael's Story

How Long Have I Been Practicing Law?

“I’ve been practicing law since 2016. Seven years of experience may not seem like much. However, I have won hundreds of workers’ compensation cases during that time and have helped many Californians receive the benefits they needed to regain control of their lives. Moreover, in his first two years of practice alone, Michael recovered over $5 million for his clients.

What made me want to become a lawyer?

I grew up writing songs and lyrics as a hobby. I’ve learned that the right words, spoken with conviction, can have a profound impact on people’s lives. What began as an outlet for my thoughts would end up being a voice for my entire community. This voice, the one that my passion enables me to project, is what I love most about the law. It’s the one field where logic can win out over anger, and I can use words to resolve conflicts.

What school did I attend?

I graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 2011, where I earned a degree in business administration. I then continued my education at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, where I earned my Juris Doctorate. I was then admitted to the State Bar of California in 2016.

Loyola Law School is the law school of Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. It is one of the most prestigious law schools in California and is often associated with legal professionals committed to excellence.

What awards have I received as a result of my work as a lawyer?

I got the most recent one in 2020 when I was acknowledged as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers.

Super Lawyers is a rating service of excellent attorneys who have gained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Attorneys recognized as “Rising Stars” are usually top-rated attorneys who started their legal practice recently and have performed remarkably well.
